The Unexpected Weekend

This weekend did not go as planned at all!

Friday: I worked til about 7 and then I was going to lay in bed all night and watch Grey's Anatomy. So I got in my pajama's right when I go off and climbed into my warm bed. At like 8:30 Ryan calls me and is like come over let's go to a movie. So I come downstairs to ask my boss if it's okay if I take the van and she looks at me in my penguin pajamas and tie-dye tshirt and is like yeah you can but you are not allowed to leave in that. haha. So I went to see Les Mis again with some of the boys from the ward. It was even better the second time! And the boys loved it as well so that was good! 

Saturday: I woke up got ready for the day, cleaned a little, just kinda lounged around. A bunch of us were planning on meeting at Grand Central at 5 so we could go to dinner then to the Knicks game. So Emily and I rode the train in and met some people at the restaurant. It was this amazing Mexican place that I can't remember the name of, but it was so yummy! And not extremely overpriced like most places in NYC. So then we took a taxi (my first taxi ride!) to Madison Square Garden for the game. Well we didn't buy our tickets in advance because people weren't getting back to us if they were coming or not so we just decided to buy them there. But we were to late to get any seats together except court side and that was like 600 dollars. haha. So we gave up on the game and went to Time's Square. We decided to go see Phantom! After a certain time each night there is a place in Time Square that sells tickets at discounted price so we got pretty good seats for a pretty good price. The show was AMAZING. Like I was in awe the whole time. The guy that played the Phantom did such a great job too. He could sing to me whenever he wants haha. After the show we went to a place called Shake Shack - which is pretty famous here on the East Coast. It's just a burger joint but apparently their burgers are amazing. I didn't get one because we had already eaten dinner but I got a caramel shake that was so creamy and delicious! It was a good night - that was not planned!

Sunday: Church, Munch & Mingle, and hanging at the boys apartment. I also got a calling, I am on the compassionate service committee - so basically if a girl in the ward needs a friend, service, anything, I am there to help. Maybe it will help me make some more girl friends in the ward...because I don't have any besides Emily. haha. 

(side note: you can all hate me because I didn't take any pictures. But this weekend I believe we are going to the city again to do touristy things for me! And I am planning on buying a camera before I go! Also, in the picture at the beginning - ignore my nasty bangs! They desperately need to be cut but I haven't had time or want to spend way too much money to do so!)
