Cupcakes!

Last Saturday I went into the city with my friend Nate to go to a bunch of famous bakeries in NYC. I love any reason to go to the city, and I love any reason to try new food. It was totally worth it. Nate had been to all the places before, but we tried new things at each place!

First stop: Levain Bakery
This is a chocolate-chip walnut cookie. Oh my gosh - these are to DIE for.
Like I love cookies but seriously I have never had one this good. Nate
got a chocolate peanut butter one and it was SO good. I need a gallon of milk
all day long!

Second stop: Crumbs
This is a lemon cupcake. We weren't huge fans of this place.
We felt like we could make these at home. And the frosting tasted strange.
And there was this tasteless cream in the middle! Funny story though we walked in
and they had the calories listed and Nate goes oh that's a horrible idea. And the worker
goes oh those aren't calories those are happy points! that was our motto for the day.

Third stop: MILK
Birthday Cake Truffles.
MILK is famous for their corn flake/marshmellow cookies. I have
never had their's but I have had a knock off version and they were so yummy, so I
am sure their's are just as good, or better! We went with the birthday cake truffles this time.
They were super rich, I could only eat one! But they were super good! I loved them.

Fourth place: Georgetown Cupcakes
Red Velvet Cupcakes.
OH. MY. GOSH.
This is the BEST cupcake I have ever had. Hands down. And the whole bakery was pink :)

Also, that day we went to the 9/11 Memorial. It was a weird experience, I don't even know how to explain it. I think people just have to experience it for themselves.
One of the fountains^^

The other fountain^^

The new Freedom Towers (They aren't finished but they are so tall!)

It was such a fun day in the city! It was warm but not too hot! I just love NYC so much.
