This past week my best friend Caitlyn came to visit! It was so much fun and a perfect break from real life! She flew in last Tuesday and I picked her up from the airport. It was late so we just got some food at the diner then came home and crashed. Wednesday I still had to work so she just followed me around that day. Then we went and walked around Target, Nordstrom Rack, and got some pizza!
Thursday was the 4th of July. The Nanny Family throws a HUGE BBQ so we helped out by making some hamburger patties. Then we went to the greatest mall ever, the Pallisades. It's this huge mall over the Hudson River. It was fun. The town I live in does fireworks over the harbor (in my backyard!) so we had front row seats and they were so cool!
Friday, we got pedicures then went and laid at the beach with my friend Elizabeth. It was a nice relaxing day. Saturday we woke up at 4 in the morning! (we know, we are crazy!) to go into the city to try the latest craze - a Cronut. It's a donut/croissant and it's basically the best thing I have ever had. We also did the Statue of Liberty and saw Annie with Jane Lynch! Then we came home and died from exhaustion! It was a super fun day!
Sunday we just walked down 5th Ave & Central Park. Then I took her to Georgetown Cupcakes to try those delicious cupcakes!!
Monday she flew home.
It was super fun and I was excited to show her my life out here! It makes so much more sense when people see what I do everyday! Now we are both back to real life. haha.
