I love when people come to New York to visit. I love showing people my life here and the awesome things to do. One of my very favorite people came to visit, Maren! We partied so hard. haha. She flew in on a Wednesday and it was POURING rain. I have never seen that much rain in my life. I was like uh this is not normal. Thankfully the weather cleared up.
Thursday:
I had to work all day but once I was off we went to Shake Shack. Basically the best burger place ever. It was a beautiful day so we ate outside! But for ice cream we ate inside - cause it wasn't that beautiful yet.
Friday:
I had to work but I got off at 3 so we went into the city! We tried for the Wicked lottery and won! Both our names were called so we had 4 tickets total so I called Sarah and she rushed into the city and then we sold our other one. Front row seats. It was AMAZING!
We had an hour to spare before the show so we ate some pizza and the lady that owned the place was the cutest old Italian lady. She just kept saying "ciao bella" and was so sassy I loved her.
Saturday:
Nate drove in and we got Cragels. Delicious. We walked the Brooklyn Bridge, 9/11 Memorial, Central Park, and then Ramen. We were going to do the Empire State Building but it started raining. Boo.
Tulips grow ALL over the state of New York and it is one of the best things!
It wouldn't be a trip to the city without Georgetown Cupcakes.
Sunday:
We slept in and then just went to church. It was a chill day after being all over the city the two days before. I am so glad that Maren came to visit me. This will be the last time I was able to see her for the next (almost) two years because she is going on a mission. I am so excited for her and so excited to see what the future has in store for her!
until the next adventure...
